Managing drivers' route manually

Managing drivers' route manually

As a user, besides the option of using the Breadstack AI to optimize your drivers' route, you can also manually manage the order of your drivers delivery journey through the feature drag and drop.

As the name suggested, this feature enables you to pick an order and drag it manually to an order in which you see fit. This enables you to have more customization as to when and where your drivers are delivering your orders.

To go into details, you can rearrange tasks by dragging and dropping them, but they must follow this rule:
  1. When moving a pickup task, it can only be placed above its corresponding drop-off task in the list.
  2. This ensures that a task is picked up before it is dropped off.
For example, if Task A (Pickup) and Task A (Drop-off) are in the list, you cannot move Task A (Pickup) below Task A (Drop-off)—it must always remain above it.

After rearranging tasks, you can either save the route or optimize it for efficiency.
Info
Any changes that you made to the map will have an instant effect, hence the map updates immediately, but the driver’s actual route remains unchanged. The driver continues following the original route until the changes are saved.

Once the new route is saved, the map turns blue to confirm the update, and a notification is sent to the driver with the new route details.

Instruction on how to use the feature drag and drop

To drag and drop the task, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Live Tracking>Drivers.
  2. Click the driver that you want to manage route.
  3. Click and hold the pick-up/drop-off task to move it and drop at the order that you like.
  4. Click Update route to finalize change.
  5. (Optional) If you want to undo your change, click Reverse Route.
