Tracking tasks and drivers on the live map

Tracking tasks and drivers on the live map

Breadstack Delivery's live map gives you a real-time, bird's-eye view of your delivery landscape. Use the map to keep track of your drivers - for example, to check if they are nearing a destination, stuck in traffic, or off course.

Or, use it to see a visual sense of how many open delivery tasks your store is facing, and where those tasks are located.

Reading the map

Your map shows three elements: your stores, delivery tasks, and drivers.

Here's what each symbol indicates:

 Your store locations

Dropoff locations for open tasks (both assigned and unassigned). Click any dropoff symbol to bring up that task's card.

Your drivers' current locations. Active drivers appear on the map with their profile pictures in blue circles, while idle drivers appear in grey circles. Click any driver symbol to bring up that driver's route panel.

In the bottom right corner, you can customize your view by toggling any of these elements off and on.

At the left of the map, you'll see the Live Monitoring panel. Expand this panel to easily monitor tasks and drivers. Note that if you have unassigned tasks, a red dot will appear beside the Tasks toggle at the top of the panel.

Tracking a driver

In order to be visible on the live map, a driver must have set their CanFleet Driver App status to online.
To check on an individual driver, you can either:
  1. Click that driver's symbol on the live map. This will immediately open the driver route panel. It will also display that driver's initial on the map interface, so you can see their current location.

  2. Toggle the Live Monitoring panel to Drivers. You'll see a list of all your drivers, including contact information and current number of assigned tasks.

Click on any driver to open the
    driver route panel

Driver route panel

This panel shows breakdown of your driver's route, matching what he or she sees in the CanFleet Driver App. You'll see pickup tasks represented by upward arrows, and dropoff tasks by downward arrows. You can make changes to the route from here by selecting Manage Route.

When the panel is open, the map will show a visual outline of the route as currently set.

Need to urgently communicate with your driver? Click the ... symbol at the top of the panel and select Send an alert.

Tracking tasks

To check the status of an individual task, you can either:
  1. Click that task's symbol on the live map. This will immediately open the task detail panel.
  2. Toggle the Live Monitoring panel to Tasks. You'll see a list of all open tasks, including addresses, drivers (if assigned) and deadlines. Click any task to open the task detail panel

Note that you can also create a task from the live monitoring panel.

Task detail panel

This panel displays detailed information about a task, including:
  1. The assigned driver (if any) and a timeline of their progress in relation to the task
  2. The delivery tracking link (this is what the customer sees)
  3. The pickup and dropoff addresses, plus image capture verification (if required and complete)
  4. The task's scheduled deadline, if not yet complete

Updating a task from the panel
To make changes to the task or cancel it, click the ... symbol at the very top of the panel and select Edit task or Cancel taskTo print the task's waybill, select the printer icon.

You can also change the task's driver assignment from here. If the task is currently unassigned, select Assign to bring up a driver list and choose an assignee. If your drivers are organized into teams, the list will be grouped by team.

If the task is already assigned but you would like to change the assignment, select the ... symbol next to the assigned driver's name. Then, choose either:
  1. Assign to another driver - This will bring up a list of drivers for you to choose from; or
  2. Remove current driver from task - This will change the task to Unassigned.
